Commercial Manager – München, Germany

 
Capital Holidays, GmbH is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager for our Regional Head office in Munich, Germany. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new clients and growing existing relationships to build a sustainable client portfolio in Germany in order to achieve the budgeted commercial targets for the group.
You must have a track record of the tourism market, have at least 7 years’ experience in a senior sales/commercial role and willing to travel around Germany.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales revenue that is as per your annual KPI’s and department requirements
  • Build, maintain and execute a profitable short, medium and long-term sales strategy for the Capital Holidays/Etihad Holidays brand and achieve the annual sales targets & margins defined for the country market per annum.
  • Display a full understanding of the Capital Holidays/Etihad Holidays brand products and market position, as well as, consumer trends & competitors’ positioning, by continual analysis of market data to ensure that competitive edge is maintained.  
  • Establish, develop & maintain strong relationships with key trade partners & internal/external stakeholders & partners ensuring the right tools and products are identified, offered and distributed, resulting in sales conversion.
  • Monitor sales KPIs and revenue dashboards (based on revenues and targets) to identify areas of improvement, new initiatives and propose corrective actions where required. 
  • Submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports & plans to management and key internal stakeholders. 
  • Driving synergies between teams and departments through the implementation of cross selling opportunities across the Tourism365 brands.
  • Attendance or management of corporate and/or trade roadshows across the destination.  
  • Manage, maintain or take on new projects, activity or task provided by the business and management from time to time.

Financial Analyst - Munich, Germany 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the FP&A & Business Partnering profile of the legal entities that fall under the Finance Director’s portfolio.
  • Drive the Gross Margin forecast and be responsible for managing the margins across Tourism 365 and other legal entities.
  • Identify revenue and margin implications of business decisions throughout and articulate solutions that meet the needs of business partners.
  • Support of the Director of Finance with reporting mechanisms to ensure major misses are reported and managed ahead of time through cross functional alignment to ensure that there is an action plan in place to address the future gaps.
  • Track and evaluate margin attainment each month and work with Contracting, Commercial / Business Development, Reservations, Operations and HR on scenario plans to improve margins.
  • Provide ad-hoc margin analysis to the team and be a strategic business partner to influence price and demand.
  • Supporting the Director of Finance in developing and managing short-term goals critical to the business model and legal entities success.
  • Develop or participates in business unit planning, budgeting, performance targets, and policy development. Participates in functional discussions and initiatives across departments and a go to person for the leadership team on data analytical matters.
  • Manage the preparation of timely and insightful financial analysis of pertinent information to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, forecast, and to ensure integrity of the financial statements. Actively interprets and reviews financial results with management team including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses.
  • Ensures that leadership team is educated on use and interpretation of financial reports and metrics.
  • Oversees and/or leads analysis that aids in the decision-making process and creates increased profitability and cash flow for the legal entities. Identifies opportunities for profitability enhancement and then executes initiatives to achieve results.
  • Drives and monitors that working capital is efficiently and effectively used (AP, AR & Treasury focus). Drives improvement in metrics focused on P&L, balance sheet and free cash flow.
  • Works with teams to establish key measures for business strategies that are consistent with the company’s long-term financial model. Manages the development of budgets and action plans consistent with the strategic plan

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, accounting and/or budgeting preferred.
  • Financial KPIs and objective setting

General Accountant - Munich, Germany 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial statements, accounts payable, payroll function, basic job cost, account analysis, accruals, year-end audits.
  • Manage and monitor accounting procedures for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and coordinate and facilitate external audit requirements.
  • Assist manager with cash flow, preparing financial statement and reporting to the appropriate manager.
  • Assist in any kind of audit engagement (internal control, external, etc.)
  • Provide support for the finance manager/controller with period-end close accruals and journal entries and assist in various duties and responsibilities.
  • Analyze and evaluate various financial and operational business controls and GAAP.
  • reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
